Digital lysimeter system enables the real time online estimation of crop coefficient by fetching the parameters required for computation of maximum crop evapotranspiration from the digital lysimeter installed on a farm with a specified crop; and for computation of reference crop evapotranspiration from the automatic weather station (AWS) installed on a farm or from the weather service providers on daily basis.
The crop coefficient is then estimated as ratio of maximum crop evapotranspiration and reference crop evapotranspiration.
